So, tonight I wrote lyrics. I'm not sure about them yet. I mean, they work. I just don't know if I'm convinced they are right yet. You know what I mean?
Anyway, I have sent a recording off to a friend who I trust to give me honest feedback. Once I have that feedback and make any changes necessary, I will post it for you to hear and give more honest feedback! :)

don't feel bad, most song writers are a duo - one for music, one for lyrics. it's kinda one of those things where most people aren't good at both. maybe you have the general idea of what you want the lyrics to be - then you could have a friend help get them to where you want them to be? I'm no poet, so don't ask me! ;)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with this thought. The funny part is, I'm usually better with the words than the music! This time the music just popped into my head, though. I'll definitely keep playing with the words, though. I have a friend who's been encouraging through the process...she's not telling me what to write, but just giving honest feedback and that's definitely helping. I have kind of put the song on hold lately. I may work on it more this week. If I do, maybe I can get it to a place where I feel comfortable posting it for more feedback and input? HA. We'll see.
